The Best Winning Run Across All Competitions Manchester City

 The longest winning streak for Manchester City is 21 wins in row, achieved in the 2020-21 season across all competitions. Pep Guardiola's team achieved this remarkable record by beating 21 teams in the English Premiership League (EPL), Football League (EFL) Cup, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League. Manchester City has won 15 EPL, 2 EFL Cup, 3 FA Cup, and 1 UEFA Champions League match.

Surprisingly, this achievement was achieved without Sergio Agüero who is the leading goal scorer for Manchester City football club - 260 goals! Sergio was injured and suffering from COVID-19 during January and February. Another surprise has been the solid defense from Man City, they have managed to keep 12 clean sheets in their 21 games. 

Manchester City surpassed Arsenal record set in 2002 of 14 wins in a row in all competitions.

Longest Winning Run in the League

The longest recorded winning run in a European League was Bayern Munich with 19 wins in the 2013-14 Bundesliga season. This was when Pep Guardiola was coach of Bayern Munich, another sign of the kind of mentality Pep instills in his teams. Third on the list is Manchester City again with 18 wins in the 2017-18 season and Pep Guardiola was the coach for Manchester City at that time.

Who is Paul Dolezar? Paul Dolezar was once a coach of the mighty Amakhosi and Mamelodi Sundowns. In his short spells coaching in South Africa (SA) he managed to win the Rothmans cup 3 times, a league title with Mamelodi Sundowns , and in 2005 the SAA Supa 8  with Bloemfontein Celtic FC  which had not won a cup in 20 years.
